FREEDANCE is an initiative by choreographer Koen De Preter and dancer Katja Pire: a monthly gathering for professional dancers living and working in Antwerp. It provides a space where the local dance community can train, improvise and inspire each other.

During Day of Dance 2022, FREEDANCE presented an improvised performance at the M HKA Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp with live music by Mauro Pawlowski. At the festival Berchem Bruist 2025, they will bring a unique site-specific performance with seven dancers in and around the public spaces of c o r s o.

Tijdens Dag van de Dans 2022 gaf FREEDANCE een impro-performance in het Antwerps museum voor hedendaagse kunst M HKA met live muziek van Mauro Pawlowski. Op het festival Berchem Bruist 2025 brengen ze een unieke site-specific performance met zeven dansers in en rond de publieke ruimte van c o r s o.
